OpenLink provides direct support for Informix 7 and 9 databases. Be advised. Informix 7.3 drivers are compatible with Informix 9 databases. These products are built against the same version of ESQL/C. However, there is not a high degree of compatibility between individual Informix 7.x releases. For instance, Informix 7.2 drivers may not connect to Informix 7.3 databases. Relinking may solve some Multi-Tier incompatibilities. However, you should contact Product Support, if you cannot locate an exact driver match for your Informix database.
